My computer won't start, black screen, HDD light off.

Hello,
Since this evening, my computer doesn't seem to start anymore. When I press the power button, it seems to power on at the component level, however I get a black screen, with the hard drive indicator light off. Having opened the PC, a light on the motherboard is green, proving it’s not fried. I can hear the hard drive spinning, the fans are working, and the CD drive opens and closes correctly.
I removed the battery from the motherboard to attempt a reset, but nothing has changed. The power supply shouldn't be an issue since I haven't changed anything in this PC for a long time.
So I'm out of solutions and turning to you.
