Windows 10 and IDT High Definition Audio CODEC not working. Solved/Closed

Question

Hello!  I scoured the forums a bit before deciding to post this message. Some time ago, possibly due to a virus, my computer lost access to the Internet (no application could connect, despite sending/receiving packets to/from the router). So, I decided to take the strong approach and completely reset my computer.  Since then, the sound doesn't work anymore. More specifically, when I go to the Device Manager to update the drivers, I get this message: https://img-19.ccm2.net/zHCtamRso5a4Sh82BZjU9QBkgUc=/93f6f9c536ad42afa298dc3de22f9c66/ccm-ugc/MaJ_pilote.png  On top of having a nice little icon saying "Sound not working" in the taskbar.  Not being discouraged, I decided to scour the forums and came across various solutions:  Install a driver from the manufacturer's site http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/  Install from HP's site (the brand of my computer): nothing for Win10 and my model.  Not to mention the various drivers proposed here and there by forums, and the tip to restart the Windows Audio service. Right-click on the driver --> sp63932.exe Choose --> extract all  Go to the device manager Right-click on the device in question Update driver Search for a driver on my computer Browse Go to the folder of the unzipped driver --> sp63932 Folder --> src Select the folder --> wdm OK, next Restart   -- The human being is at their best when things are at their worst.

hi  I see this for the sound in the Speecy report:  Audio NVIDIA High Definition Audio  Is the card enabled in the BIOS?  Besides having a nice little "Sound not working" icon in the taskbar.  Do you have a red cross on the sound icon in the taskbar?  Give me the full reference of your PC (brand, model), I have OS W10 in 64bits  @+  -- the radiation level is higher at the employment office than at Chernobyl

re  Clicking resolves issues, I don't have access to the volume.  I see in your screenshot:    that there are no speakers or headphones connected  do you have built-in speakers on your PC?  is the PC a laptop or a desktop (tower)?  @+  -- the radiation level is higher at the employment agency than at Chernobyl

I have functional speakers connected to one of the two Jack ports, but the computer doesn't seem to detect them, no matter which port is used.  Is it the same if you plug the speakers into the front or the back of the tower?  Clicking triggers a troubleshooting, I don't have access to the volume. Hello,  Go to the Device Manager Sound, video and game controllers Right click on --> IDT High Definition Audio Uninstall (including all drivers)  Right click on Start Control Panel Programs and Features Uninstall --> IDT High Definition Audio Restart the PC.  Try this audio driver --> IDT  -- Human beings are at their best when things are at their worst.

re  download 7ZIP to your desktop click here  run it as an administrator (right click)  when installed, right-click on the "driver" and choose 7ZIP >> extract to...  see you  -- the radiation level is higher at the employment center than at Chernobyl
