How to change "Smart Audio" on Windows 10?

Good evening! :)

Here's my problem: after buying a new laptop equipped with Windows 10, I discovered the horrible audio quality when I connect headphones (very low sound, etc.).

I don't know anything about this field, but from what I've understood, it’s related to the "Smart Audio" driver provided with my Asus PC.

Is it possible to install the "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver"? That's what I had on my old PC (I believe). Once downloaded and installed (at the end I was asked to restart my computer to apply the changes), nothing happens.

Is that normal? (when I go to the Sound settings and then to playback, there’s only one device: Speakers (SmartAudio HD), no trace of "Realtek High Definition Audio" (I tried to follow several YouTube tutorials).

As I said, I don't know ANYTHING about this field; maybe everything I've said above makes no sense (maybe even "Realtek High Definition Audio" is only available for compatible graphics cards), if someone knowledgeable could enlighten me :).

Thank you!

Hi
it all depends on the audio chip on your PC
if it's not a Realtek audio chip, it's normal that you don't have a Realtek driver.
the best is to update the audio driver via the sites "touslesdrivers.com" or "drivers cloud"
