Hello everyone,
I'm writing this message because I've been trying to fix the sound on my Asus Transformer T100 tablet for 3 weeks now. (forums, official sites, etc..)
Indeed, since the Windows 10 update, the sound has disappeared. It was still there a few days later, but after a routine update, it vanished. At first, the sound displayed an icon with a red cross, but now the icon appears without that cross and the sound can be adjusted.
However, no sound is coming out of the speakers, my earphones, my headset, or my speakers.
The hardware displayed is called: Speakers (intel SST audio device (WDM)) whereas before, the sound was, I believe, managed by Realtek.
I've tried several things:
-updating my tablet
-updating my drivers through various automatic detection software
-updating the specific Realtek driver by downloading the one for Windows 10 and for Asus
But with no success...
I've been searching for a long time and I don't see any solutions...
I've downloaded tons of driver versions from different sites. The installations start, seem to work, but in the end, still no sound.
Also, I don't have a Realtek driver displayed in the device manager, but the Realtek "control panel" is still properly installed (maybe due to the installation of the drivers I did before).. I don't understand why it's not working.
Is there anyone who can help me?
Thank you in advance,
See you soon.
