Hello, I recently downloaded the RawTherapee software, which is a free alternative to Lightroom, but when saving a file, the .pp3 extension appeared, and I can't open these files outside of RawTherapee.
How can I open and use .pp3 files?
Is there a way to convert them?
Thank you for reading, and I hope you can help me!
Have a good evening :-)

Hello,
These files contain all the post-processing info you did on your photo: 1 pp3 file per edited photo...
I personally haven't encountered any problems with these files, it should be noted that I'm no longer on Windows, I never redo the same post-processing, and I therefore have no need for these files...
If it can help you, there's also this: https://www.forumlumix.com/t110233-presentation-rawtherapee

The price of a software is inversely proportional to its user-friendliness... ;-)

I then realized that I was saving the profile (that is, the processing settings) and not the image.
The link you gave me was also useful and will surely be again because this forum is very comprehensive regarding RawTherapee, as well as many other topics related to photography and post-processing.
Thanks again, Luke, and best of luck! :-)
