Create PDF cover + double page with InDesign

Hello,

I create PDFs that I distribute to many people.
Regarding my layout, I would like my document to open with the cover page only, centered, then the following pages in double page until the last page.

I use InDesign, the normal export puts the pages one after the other, and the export in spreads sticks the double pages as if it were A3! I want my double pages to be independent A4 but facing each other (except for the cover).

If I distribute the document with the pages one below the other, and if the Adobe Reader settings are set to "two-page view," the cover will be next to a page and everything else will be misaligned...

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thank you in advance :)

I don't see much of a solution to your problem because the side-by-side A4 pages display is an option of the reader and not during the creation of the file.

The closest effect to what you want to achieve would be a layout with a space between the pages in the center... and still, with some manipulation to isolate the front and back covers...

    Hello,
It seems that you should select the A4 canvas size in InDesign for the layout settings.
