Hello everyone!
For a few days, I've been seeing on my screen when I turn it on: <your WINDOWS license is about to expire, you need to activate Windows in the PC settings.> If I look further, I'm given the last digits of my license and I'm told that I can find this complete number on the DVD that comes with the purchase. However, I am miles away from this DVD and I have two questions:
- isn't it a fake?
if not
- where can I find this number other than on the DVD (or CD, I don't remember)?
I naively thought that once the purchase was made, there would be no need to renew the Windows license.
By constantly suspecting everything, one might become a little paranoid, but is it wrong? So many people are corrupt.
Thank you
Franille

Hello!
I’m reaching out to all of you, first to thank you.
I’ve been thinking hard about the issue, and even when I believe it’s resolved, the message resurfaces.
I’ve seen more than one solution, including an easy one that involves going onto the Windows 8.1 desktop of my computer. You just need to right-click on <executer> and then enter the word <winver> + ok. It’s straightforward.
It specifies version 6.3 + a number in () followed by a typical statement about Microsoft’s protection. Finally, after a rather large space, it says: this product is licensed under the terms of the Microsoft Software License Agreement at: and there, an email address that belongs to me is shown. So I think everything is fine, but no, the threatening message returns…
I don’t understand why I’m being asked for a renewal since it should be permanent when you buy the computer.
Could this be a malicious attempt????
I tried other recommended solutions, one of which was easy to follow the instructions, but when I received a key number, it was incorrect!!! Others were very complicated, and I gave up.
I admit this is making me anxious…</winver></executer>
