Epson 625 cartridge BK and PBK

Hello,

My PBK cartridge (small black ink) is empty. I want to switch to the BK cartridge (large black ink).
I set everything up, leaving the empty one as recommended.
On the ink level screen, it recognizes that the large one is full and the small one is empty.
It's impossible to start a print job. It absolutely insists that the small one be replaced even though the large one is full!
Help!

The BK is the black cartridge and the PBK is the "photo" black cartridge.

Normally, it’s the driver that decides which type of black to use based on the format and type of paper.

But since you have a 5-cartridge printer, if one of them is empty, it will block the machine until it is replaced to prevent air from entering the ink circuit during initialization and head cleaning.

You take away an unpleasant doubt from me. Things are clear, thank you.
