I would like my PC to use my 8.00 GB of RAM instead of 3.98 GB.
I don't see what the problem is, since I am on 64-bit Windows.
I went on different forums to find solutions but memory remap is absent in my BIOS and attempts in msconfig are unsuccessful.
msconfig attempts:
All by default,
4 cores and maximum memory unchecked,
4 cores and maximum memory checked,
4 cores and maximum memory checked divided by 2.

Hello either way
You’ve already asked the question, and you didn’t answer ...

Start by answering the questions you were asked, and be a little polite ....
For info, in msconfig, the boxes must be unchecked, CPU and memory.
there is no point in checking them, except to create chaos ..

This is a gaming PC, so for my 4-core processor I have to go into msconfig to make my computer use all the cores of the processor and get good performance, and for the RAM whether the box is checked or not, it doesn’t change anything anymore but before it did something.
By the way, excuse me but following a manipulation in msconfig I couldn’t respond to your comment for 5 days, after which I forgot the existence of my old topic and thought it was inactive. -

Good evening,
The last time I saw that, it was because the two sticks weren’t the same. They should be compared. -
Re
In the BIOS, does it detect 4GB or 8GB?
Try with one RAM module only, it should show 4 GB (3.98) ..
Try with the other one only, same thing
Try again with the two

I used them one by one on the two different slots, they work well, it's not a hardware issue.

OK, thanks to everyone for helping me but after spending the whole day searching I discovered that the problem wasn't the RAM but a slot on my motherboard that was failing.

A little better to avoid spreading it all over the motherboard: a quick spray of KONTAKT 60 on a cloth (or other rag) only on the printed circuit board (the male parts of the board); this may be sufficient. Otherwise, dip the tip of a size 10 brush in the solution and run it through the slot to be cleaned. Then reassemble the card.
