Printing Issue: A blank page comes out instead of the text

Hello, I have a problem with my HP Photosmart 8100 printer.

When I print a document in Word 2007, a blank page comes out instead of the text.
I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, but nothing works.

When I print from Notepad, it doesn't work either.

When I go online, it works!! I don't understand.

Can someone help me?

Hello.
Send us a Word file that presents this defect.
We will test it on our machines.

 1) Go to https://www.cjoint.com/ 
 2) Click on [Browse] to select your file (max 15 MB)
 3) Scroll down to click on the blue button [Create Cjoint link] 
 4) After a few seconds, the second page appears with the link in bold; right-click on it and choose "Copy the link"
 5) Go back to your discussion on CCM, and in your message, do "Paste".

  then your problem is surely with your printer HP Photosmart 8100; you
  should ask your question on the forum "Hardware: printer."
  
  I still downloaded your file, and for your letter, I was surprised to see
  that it's not a Word *.doc document but a Word *.dot template! I think
  that you didn't choose the right type of file to save your letter, because when
  you use a letter as a template, it's a general letter and not a specific one.
  
  I advise you to open this *.dot template and save it as a Word
  document *.doc; once opened, use < F12 > => window "Save as"; keep the
  same name, and in the list below, choose: "Word Document."

    if you really can print from the internet, but not from Word and Notepad, that’s beyond me!
    
    Note: if you can print from the internet, then your HP

    In this 2nd case where your HP is not at fault, you are here in the right forum.

    I just thought of this possibility: maybe it prints correctly
    from the internet because it uses the Wifi connection (which is fine) but Word
    and Notepad are trying to print without going through Wifi? Check
    what your default printer is, and if it’s on Wifi or not.
    
    Don’t ask me for any Wifi specifics, because I don’t know anything about it! (my PC
    does not use Wifi at all: Ethernet cable and printer on USB port).

I opened your file and printed it: everything is perfect!
The problem therefore does not come from the file, nor from Word.

I think that Word 2007 is now outdated. Try converting your doc to PDF and starting the print via the preview.

Otherwise, when you mention driver and reinstalling, are you referring to Word or the printer?

  Nothing at the top.
  
  As for the drivers, they are the ones for the printer.
