Hello, I don't know if I'm in the right place, but here goes, I just invested
in a bass box kit + amp. Everything is connected correctly as described in the explanation diagram, that is to say the + from the battery to "battery", the ground connection to "GND", and the remote from my car radio to "REM". Everything is working fine, I made my little adjustments and all that.
Except I just noticed that the amp stays on constantly. After checking the various connections, I realized that it was a speaker output keeping the amp on. Yes, because I'm using the "high level" input, so my amp is directly connected to the speaker outputs.
How is it possible that a speaker output keeps my amp on?
I'm not an electronics expert, but I know a few things. However, I must admit I'm a bit lost here...
HELP-ME please! ^^
PS: I'm attaching a photo of my car's wiring (Peugeot 207) so you can tell me which colors correspond to which speakers, if possible.
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 58.0.3029.110

Hi
the correct connection of an amplifier is as follows:
the positive wire on the battery with the fuse holder 30 cm away from the battery.
the negative wire connected to a metal part, making sure to brush off the paint for better contact.
the remote wire on the blue and white wire of the car radio.
on the amplifier:
the battery wire on the +, the body wire on the - and the blue and white wire on the remote.
the RCA from the car radio to the RCA input of the amplifier, the cables for the sub, connect 1 wire to the + of ch 1 and the other - to ch 2 as indicated on the amplifier like this:
---> ch 1 I____bridge_______I ch 2
you need to activate the sub output on the car radio, if you don't know how to activate it, let me know the model of your car radio and also that of your amplifier, it's just to check the connectors and the sub connection.-
Hi, thanks for your reply, but I already know that! ^^
And I don't have an RCA output at the back of my car radio, that's why I'm using the speaker outputs directly, which I've connected to the "High level" input of the amp.
What I'd like to know is which colors correspond to which speaker, to check if I've connected the + to the + and the - to the -. And finally, I want to know why the amp stays on when I connect one of the wires.
When the speaker outputs are not connected, the amp turns off when I turn off the ignition. -
Hi
the car radio is the original one. If that's the case, change it because it won't last long; it's not made to have a subwoofer since there’s no sub function in the settings to activate it. There are car radios for €56 from JVC with amplifier output and a USB input but without a CD mechanism.

It will be better than the original one and trust me, you won't regret it.- Hello, this is not the original one. It's a car radio with a remote display, GPS, etc. And there is indeed a sub function in the settings. It’s activated.
I just want to know why my amp turns on when I connect a speaker cable even though the ignition is off.
A little clarification as well, the amp turns off after a few minutes when the speaker outputs are connected. Everything works fine otherwise, but I'm afraid of damaging something with this issue.
