What I can tell you is that on Windows 10 and with Google Chrome, you need to open a Google page, then the menu (the three vertical dots in the top right corner), go to "settings," then "advanced settings," and finally go to "clear browsing data."
Make sure to check the box "autofill data," then click on "clear data."
This clears the history of a search engine (and specifically that of Le Bon Coin) whenever you need it, but it does not disable automatic search, which is still quite convenient...
