Layout discrepancy between 2 PCs

Hello,

I know this topic was discussed a few years ago, but the responses provided haven't helped me. Maybe someone has new ideas since then.

Here it is. I created a spreadsheet that contains several sheets, and on my screen (and when printed), it looks perfect. But when my supervisor opens it on her workstation, it shifts. It's the rows and not the columns that shift. For example, the last rows of the first page move to the second page and so on.

I don't think it's a margin issue because the document maintains its layout properties from one computer to another.

We have the same version of Excel 2013.

Can you help me resolve this issue?

Thank you.

    Hello,

I have just a suggestion: the layout could be linked to the default printer of the workstation. With different printers, the presentation could be affected.

    Best regards

    Good evening Ethiema, Jee pee,

absolutely, if the computers are connected to two different printers, it can affect the display just like the screen resolution as well. I also encountered a font that didn't exist on one machine, so a computer was using a default font that took a few milliseconds per line and resulted in a one-line offset at the end of the document.
here are a few additional ideas to explore

Thank you for your suggestions, but we are using the same printer.

    Re,

it's not just the printer that can be taken into account
the total height of your lines must also be at the limit of the height of your page, it would certainly be enough to lower a line height for everything to fall into place,
for example, the page break limit is on your last line at a height of 21.75 which may shift to the next line on another computer, but you can lower the height by 0.75 on one or two lines which will be imperceptible to the eye.
As a point of reference, you have a good margin of maneuver of about 14.25 before a line change

Thank you, Mike. That's a good idea, I will try to do that.

    Hello,

I'm following up on this subject because I'm encountering the same problem.

I created an Excel file whose layout is different between my PC and my colleague's.

I identified the issue: it's related to the "text size, apps, and other items" (Settings/Display/Customize your screen) which is set to 125% on my colleague's PC and 100% on mine.

What is the possible solution, aside from having my colleague decrease her screen size to 100%?

Just to clarify, we are using the same PC, same monitor, and same printer.

    Thank you for your responses.

I don't believe that the display screen zoom level can have any impact on the printing of the document...

        Yet that's indeed the case.
I am also surprised, but once the zoom is set back to 100%, the document displays correctly on 2 pages (instead of 3) and therefore prints correctly.

I'm also surprised that it works, but I'll give it a try next time. Thank you.

I have exactly the same problem as you, but changing my text size between 100 and 125% doesn't make any difference...
