MacBook Pro not detecting battery.

Hello,

I have a problem with my MacBook Pro. The laptop battery is no longer detected. I believe I am on the latest version OS 10.10.2 for MacBook Pro. The battery is in perfect condition. The computer is exactly 4 years old. It only works with the power adapter. The battery stopped working during a startup. My battery icon has a small X on it and says no battery detected.

    For the dead link, I will try to find it again (maybe I missed my copy-paste). In any case, thank you for pointing it out.

    Regarding your battery:
    - the Mac does indeed not detect it at all as shown here: 
    Charge information:
    Remaining charge (mAh): 0
    Full charge: No
    Charging: No
    Full charge capacity (mAh): 0
    Health information:
    Cycle count: 0
    Battery installed: No
    Current (mA): 0
    Voltage (mV): 0


    However, the Mac does detect the power adapter you have connected: 
    Power adapter information:

    Connected: Yes
    Identifier: 0x0100
    Power (W): 60
    Revision: 0x0000
    Family: 0x0085
    Serial number: 0x00483b1f
    Charging: No


    So for me, your battery is:
    - either poorly connected: use this guide to check it
    - or needs to be replaced (price example here)

      I disconnected the battery and reconnected it, but there were no results.
      So I'm going to buy a new battery, either this one: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01DMCGBF0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A327REMLDE4QJW&psc=1

      Unfortunately, the new battery doesn't work... (it probably works but the computer doesn't detect it anymore).
      Do you have another solution?
      I returned the new battery to Amazon.
