How to add an audio track to a video using VLC?

Hello,
I have a series episode .mkv in French. I have the audio track .mp3 in English that I would like to link to this video to have just one single file.
The goal is that when I click on Audio/Audio Track in VLC, I can choose between French and English.
I would like to know if this is possible via VLC, or otherwise with another software, and what is the best/easiest for this type of operation.
