Hello,

The mobile in question is a modest flip phone, type "E1270".
This mobile is unlocked, so it accepts all operators.
Previously, I was with Bouygues, and for the past 2 months, I've been with Free.
However, it doesn't accept the Free SIM card.
I went to Bouygues stores where I was confirmed that the mobile was unlocked.
I returned to Free where I was shown that this mobile does not accept the Free SIM card.
Soooooo, if someone has a solution

Thank you

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 53.0

Hello,

2 possibilities:

- The mobile was sold locked to a carrier (given its age, this is more than likely) and Orange did not do what was necessary contrary to their indication.
- The mobile has a malfunction, which is totally improbable.
- The sim-free is blocked due to 3 incorrect PIN code entries.

What is the exact message displayed on the mobile?

Hi Athena

Where do I start?

I was with "Bouygues" and not "Orange".

When I insert the (Free) SIM card into its slot, I enter the PIN code. The usual message is "Enter the password".

I understand that it’s not asking me for "the PIN code", but "the password".

And then I randomly typed four zeros. And miracle, I have access to the phone, and thus to the contacts.

When I enter the PIN code, it doesn't unlock the phone. Quite strange anyway.

Sorry for the mistake, that's what happens when you do multiple things at the same time ^^

You should check in the phone's settings if it's not just a personal code to lock the mobile.

All things considered, I'm not going to go any further in my research, Athena. I'm not going to waste any more of your time.
I'm going to operate like this, meaning it can be used by entering a password instead of the PIN code.
I would have liked to understand, but well, the important thing is that I can use it.

Thank you, have a nice day
