Asus meaning of letters and numbers

Hello, does anyone know the meaning of the letters and numbers that follow the word "Asus"? On my old Toshiba Satellite C, L, P, it provided some indication. There are many Asus models, and knowing what corresponds to X751... N751... F751 LDV, or JK, etc... would be very helpful for making a choice. Thank you for your help. Best regards.

    Hi, it's easy to get lost (a lot) with all these references, even for someone well-informed. It's much more sensible to look at the details of the equipment in the description sheet. In any case, if you don't know anything about it, you won't be able to figure it out on your own. The pitfalls are too numerous to try to interpret all that.
    If you want to choose your equipment by yourself, we might be able to point you in the right direction with recommendations if you give us your budget and usage.

      Hello FeLynx, thank you for coming to my aid. As you understood, I don't know anything about this, I’m a grandma, I got my first computer for my 70th birthday... and that was 10 years ago. It was a Toshiba Satellite, but unfortunately, it has abandoned me. I tried to find something equivalent, and the advice I received led me to Asus, with my budget allowing for a refurbished model. However, my misfortunes have only just begun. The first device I received refused to start, the second one did not match the described condition, and the third one arrived in a completely damaged package, so I didn't open it and I'm returning it. It cost me 600€. I'm trying to find a new machine that fits my wishes; it seems difficult as 600€ is my absolute maximum. The one I chose was an Asus N751JK-T7229H, and what I read seemed to match my requests. If you could please come to my rescue, I would appreciate your help. Best regards.

    For basic office/internet use and without the need to be very mobile, this well-known brand PC that is very complete (Webcam, bluetooth, anti-glare display, optical drive and SD card reader + free M.2 slot to add an SSD, etc...) should provide you with satisfaction. If there are any issues, the customer service should be of good quality.

      Thank you Fel.ynx, my concern is as follows: I received my computer at the collection point in a deplorable state. As I told you, I am elderly, and I had a third person collect my package who did not see the actual condition of the parcel but made a reservation. She should have refused it, but she knew how much I was waiting for this computer!!!!! I immediately called customer service, who did not take my explanations into account... I did not open the package; everything inside was jumbled up. I sent them an email, but have received no response until today. I opened the package; they used a “very” old wrapping and “threw” the computer inside without taking any precautions or securing the device, without the expected documents. I regret having to return it; it seems to be in good condition!!! But how does it work after a “bumpy” journey???? I have a dilemma about the return; I have to note “in bad condition, broken” but I don't know, that is not the direct cause of the return. Please, Fel.Ynx, help a grandmother. Sincerely.

        I might not be the best advisor when it comes to this kind of disputes. However, there is a very informative article on this subject on this page.

        I recommend that you explain your problem as clearly as possible on the Consumer forum of Droit et Finances which is affiliated with CCM, mentioning the shop where you placed your order. You may find more knowledgeable participants to know your exact recourse options. Don't forget to log in to your account with the same credentials as here; it will be easier to follow a discussion thread on our forums =)
