Hello,

When the answering machine takes messages, the indicator no longer lights up to notify me on my Panasonic PNLC 1014 phone.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards

Hello,

PLNC1014 is not a phone reference but a charger for Panasonic phones.
Answering machines generally have references starting with KXT****
What is the reference then (look under the base one that has multiple buttons)

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
                              Especially when it's not there...

Ah, you're right! Here's the reference: KX-TG5521FR

Thank you very much.

Ok,
The indicator light is not on anymore? Which light?
Normally, in case of a message on the answering machine...
an indicator light on the base changes from a fixed state (Answering machine on) to a flashing state when there is at least one message recorded.
What does the screen of your handset display? Refer to the manual on pages 13 and 14 for the description of the icons displayed on the screen.

The manual is available here http://www.panasonic.eu/downloads/fr_FR/popup.html
by entering the model number of your device.

Also check:
- is your answering machine set to answering recorder and not simple answering machine? (manual page 37)
- is the number of rings that triggers your answering machine set to 4 rings? (See page 36)
Because if it's more, it is your operator's voicemail that picks up your messages. (their default setting is 5 rings)

Good evening, it's about the indicator on the base that no longer signals when there is a message. The number of rings is set correctly, I checked. My phone does have a recording answering machine. It worked perfectly until I changed my service provider.
Thank you for the link to the phone manual because I didn't have it. I will consult it, and if it doesn't work, I will seek your kindness again if you don't mind!
Thank you again and have a good evening.
