Uninstalling the drivers for your motherboard

Solved

Hello, I would like to know how to uninstall the drivers of my old motherboard in order to install the new one. Should I format my drive before installing my new motherboard (format while I have the old one) or should I format it after I have the new one?
Best regards

So, if you're not planning to keep anything okay > no backup.
Otherwise, wait until you have set up the new motherboard to format the hard drive.

So I assemble the new motherboard, turn on the PC, format it and that's it? After installing Windows of course.

Absolutely, you have summarized the situation well.
    Otherwise
    BE CAREFUL with the CPU
apply a VERY THIN layer of thermal paste on the CPU
BE CAREFUL with the installation of the cooler > it must "press" well onto the CPU
Don't forget to connect the second power supply connector > there is the 24-pin + another connector (6 or 8 pins)
If possible, do not install the graphics card right away > connect the monitor to the motherboard first.. this allows you to check if the PC starts correctly.
Ensure that the POWER button is connected to the correct pins.
If the PC starts, go to the BIOS and change the boot sequence > set the DVD drive as the first boot device... unless your boot is from a USB key.
    Start the installation
when you see the word "custom", click on it, then click on advanced settings... from there, delete ALL VISIBLE PARTITIONS on your hard drive
click on next and continue the installation

Honestly, thanks (thanks for the advice on the assembly, but I've already built my PC; I'm just struggling with the pins for the front panel).

In post #6 you say that you've already built your PC and in post #8 you say that you're building it tomorrow????
Anyway, if you need help, feel free to ask.

    Good evening,
Wow... this is not at all how it works and it's not enough to uninstall the drivers to use a new motherboard.
In fact, if you change the motherboard, you then need to format your hard drive and do a clean installation of Windows.
Before you embark on this adventure, don't forget to back up your personal data on an external drive.
    Best regards

Good evening, I will not put my personal data on a hard drive because I really want to format it and I am aware that I will need to reinstall Windows, but I will perform the formatting either while I have my Asus B150M Pro Gaming or when I have my Asus Maximus VIII Hero.
      Best regards

If possible, you need to remove the chipset drivers by booting with a USB or UBCD CD.

Ok.. but installing a motherboard is almost like building a PC because to work IN GOOD CONDITIONS you need to take everything out of the case.
Otherwise.. when you install the new motherboard make sure that ALL the standoffs.. this:

are properly aligned with the holes... in fact, if there is a standoff LEFT UNDER the motherboard you could cause a short circuit simply because of this oversight.. it's the most important thing to check BEFORE placing the motherboard.
There you go, if you need ...
    See you later

Re hello, can you explain to me in detail how to format the hard drive in the BIOS (considering that I'm installing Windows with a USB stick)
      Thank you for your response

    Re...
    Plug in your USB key
Start the PC and go to the BIOS
    Go to the BOOT tab
Change the boot sequence > set the USB key first
Exit the modification and exit the BIOS.
The PC now boots from the USB key and the Windows 10 installation begins
When you see the word "customize"... click on it
    Then click on "advanced"
    A window offering "tools" appears.
There, choose "delete".... delete ALL PARTITIONS until the disk is empty.
DO NOT CREATE ANY PARTITION... Windows will take care of that
Now, you can click on "next" and Windows 10 will install

There's no need to mention it... just don't forget to update Windows above all else.
    Take care
