Windows 10 Basic Device System Solved

Question

Hello,

I currently have an All-in-One Asus PC (ET2410INKS) running Windows 10 Professional and I've noticed in the task manager that the base system device seems to have a problem: there is a question mark and a warning sign on the logo.

When I check the settings (general), I see "unknown" for the manufacturer name and below it:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click on Update Driver.

I then try to update but "no driver" is found.
So I don't know what to do.
I have seen in other articles that you need the "hardware ID" to find the driver, here it is (the longest one):
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2382&SUBSYS_84C11043&REV_20

However, following the update of other drivers, a new "unknown device" has appeared in the "other devices" section.

Isn't there another way? Because it's long (the installation of W10 took me over 3 hours) and it removes all my preferences. Can't we cancel the driver update I did by going into the event viewer or something else??

Can't we cancel the driver update?  If it's due to an update, try a system restore and choose a date prior to that update. Press Windows + R Type --> rstrui.exe and hit OK. -- The human being is at its best when things are at their worst.

But when I say that it's due to an update, I'm talking about an update made through the device manager. When going to this device, I wanted to update it and the device became "unknown device". I can't uninstall the 2 generic USB Hubs, not even one, because I did it but had to force shut down my PC as I couldn't use my keyboard and mouse anymore. I still tried to uninstall the ASMedia USB and the unknown device, and the same problem persists.

Miracle!! I succeeded by updating the unknown device with a driver found on the internet. Indeed, I searched on http://www.driveridentifier.com, downloaded driver identifier which identified the unknown device, and I downloaded the associated driver and then updated it and it worked. Now the unknown device has become Asmedia USB Root Hub. But what I still find strange is that it doesn't have the same name as the other one and especially that it doesn't say USB3.0.
