Lost drivers on Axdia gmbh WINPAD 12 (Odys)

Hello,

I'm posting a message here after trying everything to fix my problem without success...

About a week ago, Windows 10 performed an automatic (and rather long) update, after which I lost sound on my Axdia GmbH WINPAD 12 (Odys).
"No audio device is installed"
I tried updating the drivers and installing new ones, but that didn't work.
Once again, I succeeded in installing an Intel driver that made the volume control reappear and detected the speakers, but the sound still didn't actually work.

I then used helper software like DriverCloud or DriverPack Solution, which offered me "updates" that ultimately removed other functions like the touchscreen, battery manager, access to my external hard drive (micro SD card), and reduced the screen brightness.

When trying to revert to the previous drivers, I messed it up (the OS was originally in German, so it was quite complicated for me) and had to reinstall Windows, wiping my data in the process.

I attempted the same solutions again, being more careful the second time, but ended up with the same result.

So here I am with my second Windows 10 reinstallation, and I'm now without all the following functions: touchscreen, sound, access to the SD card, and low brightness, which means I'm, of course, missing certain drivers that I can't seem to find.

DriverCloud confirms that everything is up to date, and DriverPack Solution has let me down several times, so I'm not trying that again.

Needless to say, I'm in despair, I need your help!

Yes, the drivers are not available on this site so I don't see how it's useful?

Yes, it's not easy! It's not a common model and on top of that, everything is in German or English.

But what is the GpioVirtual controller? And why specifically download the 7th and 8th versions? I don't understand how you know those are the ones I need.

jeanbern Posted messages 13740 Registration date   Status Contributeur Last intervention   5 136

try the 7th, it should be the same!! GpioVirtual should (normally) identify your drivers and if needed find the ones you need
Be careful, I said "should"

Ok, the installation isn't working; I received the following message (I had already done this before, by the way):

"The setup program ended prematurely because of the following error:

Requested operation failed. It is necessary to restart the system to restore changes made.

Click here to open log file location."

So I specify, I restarted and tried the 7th without success, then the 8th, which turned off the computer and restarted with a blue screen before rebooting.

Your new link offers me a driver after detection that I will try right away.

Sorry for the delay in replying, but your new link installs without any issues but doesn't change anything in my system? No problems solved for now.

Thank you jeanbern the hero of the internet!

After installing your second link, I was able to install one of the first ones, solving all my problems, the sound is finally back.

A thousand thanks!

Hey,

I'm coming back to ask another question, the camera driver hasn't returned, any idea where I could find it?

Hi,
I'm going to take a look but it might take more time.
On the "my drivers" site, aren't they giving you anything?

https://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=31&v_id=Y91BTVkYeTONeALW

Here is the link, the site offers me two drivers that I'm hesitant to install since I'm not sure of their usefulness and I'm afraid of creating problems for myself again.

Totally!
Thanks, but I can't install them, there's no setup and when I try manually it says I already have the best driver installed (but the camera(s) don't work).

Not easy to understand:

Good day,

Currently, Microsoft is releasing many Windows 10 updates that repeatedly remove the internal cameras as well as the position sensors from the system or technically disable the drivers. Please understand that we have no control over this.

Regarding the cameras, a solution has not yet been produced by Microsoft for some devices, so control can only be realized through an additional program for the time being.

Please download the program "MANY CAM".
If the switching between the front and rear camera works with this, you will inevitably have to wait for another Microsoft update.
In the meantime, you can use the Many Cam program for switching the camera controls.

If this does not help, you can reinstall the drivers under the Windows Device Manager.
You can find the original driver packages for the devices at
http://www.axdia.de/web/scripts/download.php?datei=Firmware%2FMID%2FODYS_Winpad12%2FDriver%2FODYS_Winpad12_Win10_Driver.zip

Best regards,
Adriana María Jonkisz

First of all, thank you, then Many Cam I installed (software easily found on the internet) but it does not detect my webcams...
The drivers are presented in the same way as the previous link: Without setup.
I cannot install a driver...

Hi,
Okay for Many Cam
According to them, we should wait for Microsoft updates.
It's a bit vague!!
