My games lag even though I have the required configuration.

Hello everyone!

I have an Asus with the following specifications:
Graphics card: NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 960M
Intel Core i7
8 GB of RAM

When I want to play games on this computer, everything starts off smoothly, I play very well, but pretty quickly the games start to lag, experiencing delays of a few seconds before returning to smoothness. And this happens every minute, making it unplayable. I do have the necessary specs to play. Do you know what might be causing this?

I was thinking about the "bits" (I don't really know much about this) but is there a connection with the 32 or 64 bit of Windows?

    Do you have a good cooling fan/cooler? It could be due to overheating.

    Already, Windows 32-bit would not recognize 8GB of RAM, so you need to check how much the system recognizes.

    Hello,

    First, to find out which version of Windows you have, right-click on "Computer" and select properties; the operating system should be displayed there, and it will specify whether it is 32 or 64 bits.

    Then, if lowering the graphics quality resolves the issue, is it recurring?
    If not, it's likely that your configuration doesn't allow you to run the game in question at maximum settings.

      Hello, I'm going to check it out!
      Even lowering the graphics, I'm having the same issue. I don't understand because I can run the game "Conan Exiles" without any problems, but with the games "DayZ" or "Savage Lands", everything is smooth but there are periods of a few seconds of lag every 2 minutes, it's unplayable!

      Indeed, FPS drops like this can be due either to overheating components, or to a data overload that a component can't manage properly, or even to a third-party program that consumes the PC's performance (virus, software, program, etc...).
      You should first check what percentage of your CPU and RAM is being used while gaming to see if it's close to 100%. If not, perhaps a too-full disk space could cause this as well; if it's too full, clear some space and/or run a defragmentation to optimize the disk.
      After that, you can also perform a scan to clean up your PC with your antivirus and effective programs like CCleaner and Malwarebytes in case a malicious software is causing all this.

      Maybe try cleaning with an antivirus and the CCleaner and Malwarebyte software to see if it could be a virus or something else that's affecting your PC.
