Hello,
I can't update my graphics card anymore, a Geforce GTX 560M on Asus G74sx with Windows 7.
The installation stops and tells me there's a failure every time. The display then switches to VGA and Windows installs a driver for the graphics card via Windows Update...
I downloaded the latest Asus driver to have a slightly more recent driver anyway, and the same thing happens...
Thank you for your help!
Configuration: Configuration: Windows / Chrome 56.0.2924.87

Hello,
Try here:
https://www.nvidia.fr/Download/index.aspx?lang=fr
By entering the reference of your graphics card and the OS you are on.

I've already tried!
I tried through Geforce Experience, via the download from the Nvidia site, and then I tried the Asus drivers. I even tried doing a clean uninstall using "Display Driver Uninstaller".
Nothing works... -
Hello,
Have you tried this one?
--> nVidia

To update, you must uninstall the old driver before installing this one:
--> nVidia

Go to the control panel
Programs and Features
Uninstall everything related to nVidia, such as display driver, etc...
Go to Device Manager
Graphics cards
Right-click on the nVidia card
Uninstall (including all drivers)
Restart the PC.
Try the latest driver offered again.

I therefore tried the very latest Asus driver.
To do this, I uninstalled everything related to nVidia in the control panel/programs and features.
I uninstalled the graphics card in the device manager.
I cleaned the registry with Glary.
I rebooted, did another cleanup with Glary after Windows installed its driver.
And I tried to install the Asus driver again... which crashed like before.
But this time, I had time to note an error message during the installation.
It's a window called NVCPLSetupInt: error, and it says:
"could not create folder
"C:\temp\NVIDIA\NvDisplayContainerInstallerTemp"
Access denied."
So I tried running it as an administrator, but it doesn't change anything... -
Download and install --> 7Zip 64 bits
Right-click on the driver --> VGA.nVidia....zip
Choose --> 7Zip
Choose --> extract to "VGA.nVidia....\"
Go to device manager
Right-click on the corresponding device
Update driver
Browse my computer for driver
Browse
Select the folder of the unzipped driver --> VGA.nVidia....
OK, next
Restart

You're welcome.

It's still strange because on the same machine, I can install the latest driver on Windows 10 (I set up a dual boot).
Is there a compatibility issue with these latest drivers and Windows 7? -
It should normally work since the driver is compatible with Windows 7 and 8.
