Hello everyone,
So here is my problem, about a year ago, I built a PC with Charlie12, the PC works fine, but there have been some echo issues with the audio input/output of the PC.
Indeed, when I was on voice (TS, Xfire, Skype, Msn) my friends could hear what was happening inside my PC, when I listened to music, they heard it, when they talked at the same time as me, they could hear me, in short, everything.
I changed my headset/microphone (back then, I had an Altec Lansing 502 I think) to a Plantronics etc*etc.
The problem still persisted. The way to fix the problem was to reinstall the drivers.
But lately, the problem has been recurring more and more, which has required me to reinstall the driver about ten times. Seriously, I don't want to spend my time reinstalling the driver.
My audio configuration: Realtek HD Audio Output/input
Type: WDM
Version 5.10.0000.5433 (English)
So, I hope someone can solve my problem, and especially find THE source of the problem and not just tell me "keep reinstalling the driver"
Thank you for your responses.

Hello,
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy I found the solution! Thank you Realtek for providing hardware without a manual :(
Following various searches on the web, I was able to fix my crazy echo problem. You need to download the latest version of Realtek HD audio drivers (there was an update a few days ago) and, in the Realtek software (which should appear as an orange speaker icon in the taskbar), you need to do the following:
- Go to the "Mixer" tab
- click on the small speaker in the "Stereo Mix" column (it should be checked in red, meaning disabled)
- do the same for CD Player (at the top), disable it
- click on the small ">" button to the right of the window to scroll through more settings
- do the same for Microphone Volume (at the top), disable it
- same for "Line Volume," disable it
- Enable the "Front Pink In" (or "Rear Pink In," depending on the versions) control and turn it up to the max => that's what allows you to adjust the microphone volume!!!
On the same control, there's a small ".." button: click on it, a popup will appear: check "Microphone Boost" and confirm.
And then, miracle, it works! I have a recording at a normal volume and no more echo at all.
