Hello
I no longer have the task manager icon in my taskbar.
Do I need a software and which one to reinstall it?
I checked in the Control Panel and I don't see it.
Can you help me?
Thank you for your help.

Hello.

Well, right click on the Windows icon and you will find all the system information including the task manager. 2 clicks = 2 seconds

You can also create a direct shortcut on your desktop.

Right click in the middle of your screen and then on shortcut. In the shortcut window, write or copy/paste

C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskmgr.exe

Click on next and in this new window, name this shortcut
For example: Task Manager

Click on O.K . . . The shortcut is created on your desktop

This is just a suggestion . . . Bye
It's no use rushing; you have to set off on time . . .

Hello,

To access the Task Manager on Windows:
ctrl+alt+del --> open Task Manager

If you want to keep it on your taskbar permanently, please specify your OS (Windows 7? 8? 10?).

Keep me posted

Hello Jored
In the task manager, I didn't find anything; I didn't see it open.
I have Windows 10
This week, I uninstalled "onesafePCcleaner," and I think since then, I no longer have the task manager icon in my taskbar at the bottom left.
I'm not very skilled, but I would really like to manage it.
Thank you for your help.

Hello Jored
I tried everything you told me, but I think my reply didn't go out on Saturday, so I'm trying again today.
It's the icon: task manager that I would like to find in my taskbar at the bottom left
Thank you for getting back to me

Hello,

okay I didn't quite understand last time...
So actually you need to right-click on the taskbar and then click on "Show Task Manager button" (something like that).

Let me know if that's right

On Windows 8.1, the process has become much trickier given all the "improvements" made by Microsoft.
You need to create an executable using the freeware Supermacro in a Windows XP environment with the following 3 command lines:
Execute C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskmgr.exe
Pause 00:00:01
Type Special ALT;SPACE;U;
Then export it as an executable. The executable will open the Task Manager and then minimize it, which will send it to the taskbar as soon as the "Hide the minimized icon" option has been checked (Task Manager>Options)

Next, go to the properties of the created executable, then to the compatibility tab to set the executable to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3.
Then go to the Task Scheduler. Create a new task with a name like TaskManager:
General: Only run if….. Run with the highest privileges… Configure for Windows 8.1
Triggers: At user logon
Actions: Start a program with the path of the executable previously created in Supermacro
Conditions: Only "Stop if the computer is no longer idle" should be checked
Settings: Only check "Allow task to be run on demand… "Stop the task if… "… "If the task does not end…"

No need to add any shortcut in the Startup tab.
We still need to see if this solution works in the long term because I believe I'm noticing that Microsoft sometimes opens the Task Manager minimized and sometimes in full mode… just to stir things up a bit more. Can't wait for a public operating system!
To be experimented with caution then.
