I'm posting here because I'm very stressed about the idea of having been taken advantage of...
I published an ad to sell 2 tickets to a fair in Paris
An interested person contacted me and then asked for my address to send the check because she is not from my area. I then gave her my first and last name and mailing address (nothing else)
Then after thinking about it, I wonder if I did the right thing by trusting her... because if it's someone with bad intentions, considering all the scams online, I'm wondering what risks I might face by having given her my details?
Could anyone help me?

By just leaving your name and address, you don't risk much, and luckily! Otherwise, all the people listed in the yellow pages would be victims of identity theft! However, make sure to wait a few days for the check to clear before sending back the tickets, to avoid a bounced check!

Thank you for your advice, I was thinking the same thing because the list of people in the directory makes scams so easy, but after searching through many forums I've read testimonials that make me doubt... My heart is in turmoil!!
(As for the sale, the minute I had a doubt, I sent an email to say that I no longer wanted to sell the tickets... I haven’t received any response.)
