Hello
My projector shuts off after 2 seconds and the temp/Fan LED is flashing.

I had a rotation of the stuck retractable foot done, so it was in emergency mode. Is there a connection, and is it necessary to go through Sony's after-sales service?

Thank you

Hello and welcome,
"the temp/Fan LED is flashing"
This means there is overheating followed by a safety shutdown to prevent the lamp from burning out
Have you checked that the fan is running?

The fan is running normally and the device is cold since it is not starting.

If the lamp doesn't turn on, it's either been moved or is burned out. Have you checked it?

How to check the lamp?
Since the engine shuts off very quickly, the lamp should not have time to turn on.

If the fan motor cuts off before the lamp even lights up, there is a problem with the thermal sensor. To check the lamp, refer to the manual in the lamp replacement section.

No, unfortunately I still need to find the right person to test the lamp or find the faulty sensor.
I don't want to buy a lamp and make a mistake in handling it.

Thank you again.

But you're welcome, and in that case, I'll mark your question as unresolved because another internet user might take it further than my assumptions.
