Canon Pixma MG6450 error code 1403 Solved

Question

Hello,
I just had a problem with a Canon MG6450. In the middle of printing a few sheets, it stopped with the following error code
Support Code 1403
Incorrect print head type.
Insert the correct print head.
PI, after receiving this message, I removed the print head and cleaned it but unfortunately the result remains the same.
I am using compatible cartridges and until yesterday it was working perfectly
do you have any idea about this type of failure?

Hello, how do I remove the print head? I can’t find a latch as indicated in some videos (I should note that I also have a Canon MG6450).

Your diagnosis is correct >> It's the print head that must be faulty >> See this link

Personal opinion >> Not at all certain that buying a new print head for about 80€ (Source) >> (Half price here) will solve the problem

Surprised by the purchase price of €70 when this printer was yesterday at the price mentioned above but has disappeared since yesterday???? (Amazon & Cdiscount >> Not available today ??)
After using Canon and Epson, I have turned to Brother for the past 4 years (MFCJ615W) and have never had a problem with this brand, specifying that I never use generic but a branded product >> What is your budget to invest in a new printer??

For your information >> This is just a personal opinion, but it's up to you to search if you find an equivalent printer with the same functions from another brand
I recommend using brand cartridges, which are a bit more expensive, but the printer will remember!

Hello,
I have good news. After washing the print head several times, I imagine that despite wiping it, there were still traces of water, and I kept getting the same error message.
Actually, I turned it on again today (2 days after my last cleaning) and now it works like a clock.
If you ever encounter this issue, follow these steps:
- You will need to remove the ink cartridges and then the print head.
- Thoroughly wash it with hot water several times.
- Let it dry, I would say 24 to 48 hours, and then try it.

That's my feedback on the subject.
