Remove a contact from Messenger

Hello,

On Android, one of my contacts is no longer visible in my Facebook friends, their account being, from what I understand, "suspended" due to a hacking attempt (this might be true, but it doesn't matter).

I deleted this contact from my phone directory. However, they still appear in Messenger, and I cannot delete them. They are listed in "Contacts with Messenger," and when I click on the three vertical dots to the right of their name, only the "Contact Info" line shows up, with no option to delete.

I should mention that I'm not particularly comfortable with Messenger and haven't quite grasped its relationship with Facebook and my smartphone's directory.

Anyway, how can I remove them?

Thanks.

    Hello,

To delete the imported contacts in the Messenger app:
    • Go to Facebook from a computer.
    • Go to Manage imported contacts for Messenger.
    • Click on Delete all contacts.

Well, I understand that the link is between Facebook and Messenger, I'm making progress...

So I need to unfriend this person on Facebook. The problem is, they no longer appear in my list. In fact, I have a discrepancy of one between the friends I've counted and the number the site shows me.

How can I unfriend this person whose account is suspended?
