Hello,
Since today, when I use Chrome, my PC is sluggish. I checked the task manager, and there are several Chrome processes running at the same time that are taking up a lot of memory.
I know that Chrome separates processes depending on the tabs, but that happens even when I only have one tab open.
I've read that it could also be related to extensions, but if that's the case, why has it never caused a problem before?
Today, Java prompted me for an update, and I wonder if that's the issue.
By pressing Shift + Esc, I noticed that the Shockwave Flash plugin was using the most memory (over 190,000 KB). The problem is that if I disable it, I won't have access to videos anymore.
I've seen that quite a few people are experiencing the same problem without a satisfactory answer.

Hi!
The thing with Google Chrome is that the more extensions you have, the more background processes there are. Also, once it's closed, we don't really know if it's still active or not ;). Try to check if you have any unnecessary extensions or not...
Shockwave Player is really for playing heavy stuff (in 3D...).
It's quite rare to find them on websites. For anything video-related (YouTube...), you just need to install Adobe Flash Player (which I think is resource-hungry).
