IMovie video to put on VLC

Hello,

I am currently editing several videos in the form of a VLOG. I have finished, and I would like to save it to my USB drive and give it to my teacher who will play the video on a school computer (Windows type). I don't know how to export my video from iMovie and save it in a format that will open in VLC.
Thank you for your help; I am really not good with computers.

Configuration: Macintosh / Safari 10.0.1

    Hello,

you just need to export the video in mp4, a format that all current computers can read. The H720 or mv4 formats are actually in .mp4 format

If the finished file is named .m4v, and the PC cannot read it, you simply need to rename it with the .mp4 suffix

No need for VLC, the integrated Windows player should be able to read an mp4 file

    Best regards
