Hello,
the PDF documents have not been opening in Internet Explorer for some time now, whereas everything was working fine before. The same goes for when I want to scan a document. I am using an HP photocopier and Windows 10. I am a novice in computing, and if someone could shed some light on this subject, it would be greatly appreciated.
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 51.0.2704.79

Hello,
My solution here:
1. Check the PDF file to see if it is corrupted or not.
If you cannot open a PDF file with your web browser, try to open another one with the same browser. If the latter file opens, it means that the first PDF you tried to open is corrupted. So there’s nothing to do with your web browser. If you have failed to open several PDF files with your web browser, you should update your PDF reader or reset your web browser settings.
2. Check the settings of your web browser to ensure that the Adobe Reader plug-in or the built-in PDF reader is enabled.
Browser settings can be checked through different easily identifiable methods. For example, with Chrome, type “about: plugins” (without the quotes) in the address bar to see all of Chrome’s plug-ins, including Adobe Reader. Enable it if it’s not already done.
3. Update outdated software
If you have updated your web browser, it is likely that the older version of Adobe Reader or the built-in PDF plug-in in the web browser is now outdated. In this case, you need to check if you have the latest version of Adobe Reader by opening the Programs menu on your PC or by opening the Applications folder on your Mac. Once Adobe Reader is open, go to the help menu and select “Check for Updates” to see if a new version is available. If you’re using a plug-in like the Google PDF Viewer plug-in built into Google Chrome, you will need to go to the “Tools” menu, find the plug-in, and check if a new update is available.
Note: if you have already installed the latest version of Adobe Reader, some of its system files may be corrupted. Try to repair it by going back to the “Help” menu and performing a repair of the Adobe Reader installation.
