Inactivable mobile hotspot

Hello, I tried to activate my mobile hotspot, but it remains unactivatable and shows the message "we cannot configure mobile wireless hotspots." I would like to know what this is due to and how to fix the problem. Thank you.

Basic question, but was your mobile active on 3G or 4G at the time of activation?
And which mobile?

Hello, so when I talk about a mobile wireless hotspot, I'm referring to sharing the connection from my computer. When I try to activate it, it remains set to "disable" and shows the message "we cannot configure mobile hotspots"
If you know how to fix this, that would be great :) Thanks in advance!

A mobile hotspot is not the same as sharing via a PC.

In the case of a mobile hotspot, you use a phone connected to 3G/4G, which you activate as a hotspot, in order to connect (for example) a PC to it via Wi-Fi.

If you want to share a PC that is already connected to something, the process is the same:

Select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile hotspot.

For Share my Internet connection from, choose the Internet connection you want to share.

Select Edit > enter a new network name and password > Save.

Turn on Share my Internet connection with other devices.

To connect on the other device, go to the Wi-Fi settings on that device, look for your network name, select it, enter the password, and connect.

But of course, if the PC isn't connected to anything, it will be impossible to enable sharing.
