Hello everyone,
First of all, I want to clarify, for the attention of moderators and negative minds like Eriiic, that the following message is NOT a duplicate of another message I posted. Yes, it starts similarly, yes it also concerns forms in WORD, but if you took the time to read my message in full, you would understand that these are 2 DIFFERENT QUESTIONS that I have deliberately asked in 2 different posts so that people facing the same problems can find an answer more easily in the forum and/or on the Internet. I could have indeed posted all my messages in one, but it would have been too long to explain and therefore to read. So thank you to them for not reporting or deleting this post, it's not spam.
In Word (2010), I want to create a form where, at several places, I need to enter a duration (in hours, minutes, and seconds).
So I made 3 dropdown lists:
- One for hours (ranging from 00 to 23)
- One for minutes (ranging from 00 to 59)
- One for seconds (ranging from 00 to 59)
I suppose there is a "cleaner" way to do this, but I haven't found it.
On a date selector, I went to the Developer tab > (Group) Controls > Properties where I saw that you could display a date in the form HH:mm:ss, but in the end, when I click on the selector, I get a calendar and I can't (or don't know how) to enter a time/duration.
What should I do? Which form element should I choose? A text field? A date selector? Dropdown lists? Moreover, I would like to send the data collected in this form to an Excel file, so I would like to avoid having 3 columns in Excel just for the duration (one column for hours, one for minutes, one for seconds).
Thank you in advance for your answers.
Have a nice day.

Re...
The Calendar control offers... a calendar! And a calendar provides data, not durations.
So with the content controls, I can't see anything better than text boxes.
We might want to look at ActiveX Controls, like a Scrollbar, for example.
