Hello,

I just received an email from an employer requesting me to send personal information for the contract drafting. This email contains a Word file, and when I open it, I find a form (I have very little experience with this in class) and I'm in edit mode as if I wrote the file myself.

However, I'm trying to find out if there is a solution to check the boxes everywhere, display a dropdown list like on the internet without having to write anything.

Actually, I really want it to look like it wasn’t me who drafted it so I can respond correctly.

I’m not sure if I’m being clear ^^

Thank you in advance, it’s very important for me to fill out this form.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 43.0.2357.81

Hello,

it all depends on which version of Word and what types of fields have been used.
Let's try with what I think is the most likely: the "old-fashioned" fields.
They have a gray background if the creator of the form left the default options. In this case, for the checkboxes and dropdowns to work, the form needs to be locked and that may have been what's been forgotten.
Click on the "Review" tab, "Protect Document" (or "Restrict Editing" depending on your version of Word). In the right pane, check the box "Allow only this type of editing..." under the "Editing Restrictions" section and in the dropdown list, select "Filling in forms". Click the "Turn on protection" button and then click Ok without entering a password.

If that doesn’t work, save a copy of your document, clear the content leaving only one or two checkboxes and a dropdown (just something meaningful), upload it to https://www.cjoint.com/ and come back to give us the link here.
