I also have an Epson XP 225, it needs to be installed with a USB cable connected to the computer, then you need to insert the installation CD and follow the procedure.

What operating system is your new PC running? (Windows 7, 8, 10...)

Depending on that, you might need to download the printer driver, but don't worry, we will explain it to you.

USB connected to the computer my ASUS PC is running Windows 7.

Hello,

Do not turn on the printer connected to the PC by the USB cable.
For Windows 7, normally the CD provided by Epson is sufficient.
Insert the CD and run it.
Follow the indicated steps.

Thank you very much, Passionofdream, but following the CD from EPSON, I'm being told that the installation program has detected that the printer has already been installed on this computer. However, since this computer belonged to someone else, that could explain it.
They are asking me to select the main software and choose this option to
reinstall the software and modify the printer connection settings. It’s a bit scary, RIGHT?
Install the application software that allows you to install other printing and scanning applications from EPSON
