Hello,

I've noticed that my PC has been unusually sluggish for some time. When I check the processes in the task manager, I see that Antimalware Service Executable is consuming quite a bit of memory. Apparently, it's from Windows Defender. I would like to know how to stop it, please. Additionally, I have Windows 10.

P.S.: My hard drive is at 100% sometimes too..

      Good evening,

First of all, thank you for your very quick response. However, when I modify the Windows Defender Scheduled Scan task, I get the error "the XML code of the task contains a incorrectly formatted or out-of-bounds value." You mentioned on the forum that I need to use RepairTasks, but I don't know how to use it. When I open the software, I only have the option "Scan."

Weird because on the other topics, some of the steps worked.
Otherwise, you can install a free antivirus, it will disable Windows Defender.
