Hello,

I have a very old Welfi amplifier and it only has one jack input. I also have a LG TV model 32SCS460 with an RCA input plus video color components (green, blue, red) and 2 HDMI inputs, but no headphone jack output on the TV, and a PS4. I bought a digital audio converter but I can’t get it to work. Could you please help me so that I can get the sound from the amplifier to the PS4?

    Repetition:
To get the sound of your PS4 on the amp you need a "DAC":
    https://www.amazon.fr/Convertisseur-Analogique-Compatible-Transformer-Amplificateur/dp/B00IXN6L3G/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1478800544&sr=8-3&keywords=casque+optique
You buy an optical cable that you connect between the console's output and the DAC's input
    Then, you buy this:
    https://www.cdiscount.com/pdt2/1/1/3/1/700x700/gen3700020001113/rw/cable-rca-m-mini-jackm.jpg
Which you connect between the DAC's RCA output and your amp's input jack.
But you said you had already bought a DAC?

Yes, I already bought a DAC but I don’t know, it doesn’t seem to work because I plugged it in as you said and it doesn’t work.

Did you power it with 5 volts?

It’s powered on the PS4, it should work normally

That is to say, your PS4 has a USB input on which you plug your DAC? This DAC is it truly digital-to-analog and not the other way around since both exist. Do you have its model/reference? Are we going to get there?

Yes, it has two USB ports on which I can plug in my DAC.
Yes, I have its reference, it's the Audio Convertisseur Bigben Interacti.
      I strongly hope so.

    good evening and welcome,
Not very clear all this, can you get the image and sound from your console on the TV?
"ampli welfi which is very old and I only have one jack socket on it"
Are you sure? wouldn’t that jack rather be a headphone output? and wouldn't that amplifier have RCA white and red inputs?

      Hello and thank you,
Yes I have the sound from my console on my TV, it works very well by the way, and yes I am sure I only have a jack plug and it isn't for a headset because I use it on my computer, I don't have an RCA jack on my amplifier otherwise I would have succeeded unfortunately.

It's odd that an old amp only has one input and, on top of that, a jack... what's its full model number? Welfi? Unknown brand...
Are you sure about your TV model? because it's unknown on LG, check carefully
are you sure it doesn't have an audio output (optical SPDIF or coaxial)? no headphone output? (often on the side)

This is a Welfi D-4100 amplifier. Yes, I’m sure about the TV model since I found it online. No, there isn’t a headphone jack for this one; I found that odd at first, but apparently some LG TVs don’t have a headphone jack. There are two HDMI outputs, one RCA, and slots for red, blue, and green wires, and that’s all there is.

Okay you say "a RCA" what does that mean? red and white inputs or a single black jack? as for the HDMI those are not outputs but inputs...
If you have: red and white audio inputs
Composite video input red, blue, green ,
We cannot output sound from the TV to your wireless thing
However, your PS4 should have a digital optical output: "Digital out ( optical ) "
      Can you check?

I don’t understand anything anymore, try to make an effort with writing:
"if I can get sound from my TV to my amp" but since your TV has no audio output how do you do it ???
To get the sound of your PS4 on the amplifier you need a "DAC":
      https://www.amazon.fr/Convertisseur-Analogique-Compatible-Transformer-Amplificateur/dp/B00IXN6L3G/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1478800544&sr=8-3&keywords=casque+optique
You buy an optical cable that you plug between the console output and the DAC input
      Then, you buy this:
      https://www.cdiscount.com/pdt2/1/1/3/1/700x700/gen3700020001113/rw/cable-rca-m-mini-jackm.jpg
Which you plug between the DAC's RCA output and your amplifier's jack input.
But you said you had already bought a DAC?

The sound from my TV goes to the amp through a SCART adapter with a small button (input, output). I connect this small box to a SCART power strip, then I connect my red and white cable to it, and then I connect the other end of this cable where there is a jack plug.
I already have this box but it doesn't have a jack input, and I already have my optical cable.
