No sound on my monitor

Hello,

I just bought a Philips 247E6 monitor that has built-in speakers (product sheet http://www.darty.com/nav/achat/informatique/accessoire_bureau/ecran_plat/philips_247e6qdad.html#dartyclic=PL_les-clients-ayant-effectue-une-recherche-similaire-ont-aussi-consulte_1_4101707 ).

According to the little Realtek Digital Output sound icon that works, everything seems to be functioning normally ... (when I go to "Playback Devices", the green bar indicates that the sound is being recognized).

PROBLEM: there is no sound coming out ... Any ideas on the problem and solutions?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 47.0

    What type of cable did you use to connect the screen to the PC?

      Actually, I forgot to plug a jack cable from my monitor to my tower... I'm really not good with computers :p
