Hello, I am using Windows 10 with a GTX745 graphics card with 3 video outputs: VGA, HDMI, and DVI-D.
My problem is as follows: I have connected a second monitor to the DVI-D output, and the result that appears is no signal.
In the NVIDIA control panel, the model of the second monitor appears (Acer AL1716). My monitor works as well as the cables.
In the device manager, it is indicated for the second monitor: generic Plug-and-Play monitor.
Any solution? Thank you.

Computing is just a tool, like a brush or a pencil.
Avoid those so-called free repair software, they have no major usefulness. The best companions are Dos and Powershell..-
Thank you, that's what I did. One thing that also bothers me is that I also have an HDMI output. I tried connecting my TV to it, and it works. The PC recognizes the TV. I connected it via HDMI, but here's the catch: I tried using a new HDMI/VGA cable to connect my second monitor, and bingo, it's the same: no signal.
Could it be that there's a consequence due to the fact that the monitor has a VGA input, which is analog, while the HDMI and DVI-D outputs are digital?
Normally, a DVI-D/VGA adapter outputs an analog signal.
The problem didn't just start now because originally, I was on Windows 8.1.- I think it's dead based on what I've read: https://support.nvidia.eu/hc/fr/articles/201073551-Quelle-est-la-diff%C3%A9rence-entre-DVI-I-et-DVI-D-
to answer your question, my screens only have VGA inputs. It works in extended display when I connect the second one via HDMI to my TV.
