Reading .sty files

Question

Hello, I would like to know how I can read .sty and .tex files on Windows: I have already installed MikTeX, Ghostview, and Ghostscript, but none of these programs recognizes .sty files (MikTeX only opens .dvi and Ghostview only opens .ps). What else do I need to install?

Some software, even if the extension is used by others, uses a priority format.  Can you tell me where these files come from?

I use these files to create patterns in the textile industry. It's Master Digit in the PAD System, which is American and/or Canadian. I've also been told that these files can be opened with Illustrator.

The .Sty file is a file used in arranger keyboards (Yamaha, Roland, Technics, etc..)
The .sty file is actually a style file (rhythm), and you need a program like Style Works to read it
However, I don't really see what you want to do with it in textiles since it's a file for keyboardists
(unless it's another sty, but I doubt it)
