Hello everyone,
I just received an Iiyama proLite XB2783HSU monitor that I would like to connect to my laptop to have a larger screen available
The problem is, even though the HDMI cable is plugged in, when I turn on the monitor it says "Signal cable not connected"
I don't really know much about computer hardware, do I need to connect other cables besides the HDMI? Or is there another step I need to take?
Thank you for your help ^^

Does your laptop recognize it? Don't you have a moment where the screen goes black and comes back? Normally, both screens work at the same time. I do it with my TV, for example, so try it if you have a flat screen or another computer screen available, to see if it’s not your new screen that’s acting up or if it’s your PC that doesn’t detect what it should...

No, when I connect the cable to my PC, there's the detection sound but that's it :/

Unfortunately, I don't have any other screens available at the moment.
