Extract data from a cell before a comma ...

Hello,

I know the RIGHT and LEFT formulas to extract and copy the first or last data from a cell.
But I'm looking for the formula to extract the data from the beginning of the cell up to the following comma or possibly a slash.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 52.0.2743.116

and if you want to convert the result to a number:

=LEFT(A1;FIND(",";A1)-1)*1

I'm in cell D1 and I want the info from cell E1.
I modified it with these values, but nothing works...

So, for the slash or the comma, this formula works perfectly:

=LEFT(E5;IF(ISERROR(FIND(",";E5));FIND("/";E5);FIND(",";E5))-1)

After applying it to my table, it seems that in some cells, it takes into account what is after the slash.....
Strange, but in any case, the first function works, so!!!
