Hello,
How to install Google Chrome or Firefox on Linux Linpus Lite Acer Aspire One?
Context: my high school has given second-year students, including myself, a small Acer Aspire One, but it runs Linux, an operating system I was not familiar with until now, which is why I'm having a lot of trouble using it. I can't seem to install Google Chrome. As soon as I go to the site, I click on "download chrome" and at the end of the download, a page opens on the computer with a sort of link or code as if to continue something, but what?
After that, I would be grateful if you could help me!
Configuration: Windows 8 / Internet Explorer 10.0

Hello,
On Linux, things don't work the same way as on Windows.
On Linux, you find programs in repositories. Generally, installation is done via the command line in this waysudo apt-get firefox
The command varies depending on the distributions (version of the operating system)
In some cases, like Ubuntu, there is a store where you can search for your program and the installation happens automatically.
For your specific issue, here is a link that explains the process well:

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I don't understand anything, as soon as I press Alt+F2, I'm asked to type a command, so I type google-chrome-stable_current_amd64(4)deb but then it says "command not found." I don't understand anything at all!
- Hi
.deb packages on Linpus Lite won't work: Linpus is based on Fedora, not Debian!
Under Linux, you don't download software from anywhere on the web like you do on Windows. You go through the software or package manager integrated into the distribution, and that's what downloads and installs the chosen software; it's simpler and, above all, much safer.
Between us, Linpus is a completely lousy distro; you'd be better off getting rid of it and installing a more user-friendly distro; there are plenty of them.
Where are they getting these Aspire Ones running Linpus from? That hardware is pretty outdated!
And isn't there any support for getting this hardware set up? Not even a little briefing on how to install software?
