Install Android on an Acer Aspire One netbook

Hello,

I have an Acer Aspire One netbook (D255). After a crash, I had to replace my hard drive. I now have a brand new but... empty hard drive.

I couldn't install Linux as the operating system (the installation freezes on the welcome screen), so I would like to try Android.

After downloading the installation file (android-x86-4.0-RC1-asus_laptop.iso), I transferred it to a USB drive using the program "unetbootin-windows-583".

I booted my netbook from the USB drive, but I get an error message "BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart."

I don’t know what to do anymore. I would like to be able to reuse this computer; can you help me?

Thank you in advance for your attention.

It's that the computer doesn't boot properly from the USB drive or that there is no MBR on the drive. Try it on another computer if possible...
