Hello,

I am on Windows 8.1.
Recently, my PC has been acting strangely:

- I have to launch almost all programs as an administrator, otherwise it asks me "how do you want to open this file?"
- I can no longer open my task manager using ctrl alt delete, but I can open it as an administrator using the search bar.
- Every time I restart my PC, it lags like crazy for about 20 minutes before returning to "normal." When I shut it down and turn it back on, it starts normally and quickly, but when I shutdown and restart it, two annoying things happen: a black screen for 20 to 30 minutes before showing the login sessions, and also, some of my software gets corrupted, so I have to reinstall them.
- Some programs that I could launch normally before I can no longer start correctly, even after reinstalling them.

No doubt, it’s a nasty virus that's sabotaging my existence!

I strongly suspected a more or less known virus named Neshta.A, which is particularly dangerous because it messes with the normal functioning of the PC. While doing research, I found that the symptoms described matched my problems well. This suspicion was confirmed by Windows Defender, which recently detected this infamous virus of the same name. The problem is that when I delete it, it comes back, and apparently, that’s part of why this virus is such a piece of work!

Hoping I have provided enough information, thank you in advance for your help!

Sincerely, Kylesoul

You can start by downloading this
https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/securite/14361-malwarebytes-anti-malware/

and performing a scan... delete what it finds.
