How to turn off the camera sound on iPhone?

Hello,

So I received my new iPhone 5S that I ordered on eBay two days ago; but there's a problem that particularly bothers me: it's the "click" that the camera makes when I want to take a photo, even in silent mode the sound persists.
Do you have a solution to my problem? Because it’s really not discreet and it bothers me. I've already looked at several forums but I haven't found any solutions, that’s why I'm making this call.

    I have the same issue with the shutter sound on my iPhone (even in silent mode).

    The tip I would like to share is to download the "Retrica" app, which will allow you to take photos quietly. But you will first need to uncheck "high resolution" in the Retrica settings. You can then take photos without noise. It worked for me.

    EDIT: Depending on the country of origin of a mobile phone (Asian countries, etc.), the camera sound cannot be silenced in silent mode for legal reasons related to local laws. A French mobile doesn't have this issue. A workaround is to play music in the background at volume 0, which blocks the system sounds.

      Thank you, it worked for me for my iPhone 6, thank you very much, but it's on Snapchat that I would like to remove the sound.

      I'M RIGHT! But not the solution.. it's simply that you have a Japanese iPhone. Why Japanese? Because Japanese people apparently have a habit of taking pictures discreetly under girls' skirts and that's why this feature has been implemented in all Japanese iPhones to prevent them from doing that discreetly.. even though it sounds like a bad joke, it's not. I had the same problem and it was an Apple technician who explained this to me. So there you have the reason but not the solution, I don't think there is one.
