Hello, on my Samsung GTB2100 I have a red crossed icon that appears in the top left and I can't make calls or send texts. Could someone please tell me how to make it disappear? Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 51.0.2704.103

    Hello,
A description of this red crossed icon could be useful for anyone who would like to help you.
If needed, refer to the icon descriptions on pages 15 and 16 of the manual (19 and 20 of the attached pdf below):

        Hello

Since you’re not saying much about this phone, we’ll assume it’s either your SIM card, the card reader, or more likely that this phone has been locked by a carrier. So, it’s up to you to contact the relevant operator if you’ve had this phone from the beginning or the person you bought it from. And here, we won’t help you find a solution for this unlocking issue… and here’s why

Hello, the operator is Free and it had been working fine for 2 years, but yesterday: nothing anymore.

Is it a network disconnection? In the manual, it's a square, but my red octagon is located where the normal network icon should be...

I don't know if the locked keyboard leads to an unlisted icon...
But just in case, a long press on the "star" key allows you to unlock it and vice versa.
Edit: For the network, there's a G or an E inside,

    Hello

So there might be a problem either with the SIM card or with Free... try contacting Free and see if there's any network outage in your area...
Before that, turn off your phone, remove the battery and the SIM... clean the copper contacts of the SIM with an eraser and try again...
