How long does the ISP take to delete data?

Hello experts,

I was subscribed to Orange and I just changed my internet subscription to Free.

I would like to know: how long will my previous ISP, namely Orange, keep my data? Will they be deleted now that I have switched to Free?

According to a computer salesman, the ISP has a duty to keep all connection and browsing information for 1 year, and this information is permanently deleted and "anonymized" after 1 year.

So my old data from Orange will be deleted in 1 year. Is that right?
