Data recovery for corrupted MP3

Hello

I have (well I had until last night) a Zicplay 512 MB MP3 player that served as my USB key.

Last night it decided not to power back on after turning off by itself in a curious way (like a scratched old disk). The problem is that I have files that I need stored on it.

My computer refuses to recognize it as a simple USB key. I checked Zicplay’s site; they only provide downloads for 98 and not for XP, and the help given in previous messages for drivers didn’t help.

I know it won’t work again, that’s not a problem I just want to recover my files. Is it possible? Does anyone know a method to recover the data?

Thanks in advance to those who answer :)
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

For this type of problem and if the data is important, you can request a quote on one of these sites:

I’m trying to put the mp3 on the Windows 2000 PC, but there’s a window saying that the data are erased :/

You can try the PhotoRec software.
